Malcolm X at 100: A Conversation with Ilyasah Shabazz is an in-person and hybrid featuring commemorating the legacy Civil and Human Rights Icon Malcolm X during the year of his 100th birthday and 60 years after his assassination. The featured guest speaker is his daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz who is the Co-Chairperson of the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center. The event will begin with an address by Dr. Shabazz about the legacy preserving the legacy of her father, her commitment to encouraging higher education for inner-city students and the founding of a young adult development program to provide historical context on social justice – encouraging personal empowerment and community service as a way of life.
